Nuart Animated Promo 2013

Here's an animated promo i've made for Nuart 2013 using photographs of the featured artists work chopped up into a 3D space. Nuart is an annual international street art festival established in 2001. The Festival is based in Stavanger on the West Coast of Norway. In addition to a multitude of both sanctioned and unsanctioned public art works, Nuart also stages one of the most anticipated exhibitions of the year

Paqua #2

Paqua EP #2 12" Sleeve Artwork:

Acrylic and Ink on Wood 40.9cm x 40.9cm

This is a painting I've done for the 2nd Paqua EP which is coming out on Claremont 56 and in the shops very soon. This time the Paqua tree is submerged in the depths of a tropical coral reef; unfortunately i've never been to a tropical reef but i've snorkelled around the north coast of Ibiza and it was one of the most amazing experiences i've had, gliding round the rocks and weird plants, seeing the sun rays punch through the surface and shimmer on all the oddities that lie beneath. It all feels totally out of this world and my perfect subject to visualise in paint. I'm just starting the Paqua album artwork back on dry land so there will be three (at least) 3 paintings in the series. It's great to lend my hand to these really strong musical collaborations between Bing Ji Ling, Paul "Mudd" Murphy & Alex Searle. Fathoms Deep.

Artwork for the 2nd Almunia LP

Here's my latest Artwork for Claremont 56. As always I've kept it had painted. this time it's for the 2nd LP by Almunia from Italy. The first LP was one of the first I did fo the label here in early 2011 (electric undergrowth was my working title). So it'll be released in may on a gatefold double LP and CD. Really looking forward to getting the finished 12, I'm a big fan of these guys and I hope the art suitably reflects the sounds.

Open Studios // New Print Release

This weekend it's Open Studios at the Chocolate Factory in Stoke Newington London. I'll be exhibiting a few recent paintings alongside my wifes hot new range of screen printed textiles & home ware, all in the relaxed environment of our paint splattered studio. So come in, have a look and see where we work. Also there'll be lots of other artists, screen printers and potters exhibiting in their studios. Here's the event info

It's called "South Point Tree" and is an A3 size, high quality Giclee print on 320GSM cotton Rag paper, signed and numbered to an edition of 50 priced at £30. email me if you want to buy one and can't make it email me and i'll post it out.
