Eine 'Oranges'

I've just finished making this promo film for Ben Eine. It's to coincide with his new 19 colour screen print which will be release on Monday the 16th July. I shot it in one sunny June weekend around Bow, Poplar, Mare st and Hackney Wick. When I got to Balfron Tower in Poplar some kids had bust open the fire hydrants and I took the opportunity to film using the water and the sun. The print is available from einesigns.co.uk/ this Monday, He's also done a massive wall at the Lowry Gallery in Salford, Manchester which looks amazing. http://www.thelowry.com/event/ben-eine

Smear Campaign

Here's a bit of work in progress. It's based around the idea of an animation smear
which is a way of showing fast animated movement in a couple of frames.
Hopefully i'll get to do a few of these and push it further and bigger. Since
animation is my dayjob I think it'd interesting to try and utilise some of the
techniques. Duchamp's "nude descending staircase" is pretty amazing.

and here's some recent sketchbook stuff...

Fursattl ep artwork

Acrylic & Spraypaint on wood 52 x 58 cm

Artwork for the forthcoming EP by Fursattl on Claremont 56.

This one's painted on an old school desktop I found by a skip in Hackney, It says do not take on the back in biro. I liked it's grain and deep colour from years of use. It's interesting to use a surface with some history, thinking where it's been and what it was used for to it's transformation from a land fill bound piece of wood to a useless piece of art.

Paqua EP Artwork

My latest artwork for Claremont is for the forthcoming Paqua 12" single fearturing Mudd, Bing Ji Ling, ALex Searle & Patrick Dawes. Some people didn't spot that the title is in the branches? It's subliminal ;) looking forward to working on a few more releases this year for Claremont. The album is due out later on this year so there's going to be a few more like this.

Sickboy - Heaven & Earth

I've made this promo movie for Sickboy's upcoming exhibition on Dray walk
just off Brick Lane in London. I filmed all the close up Shots in his studio with a
Canon 550d on a track. The outdoor footage was sourced from various people.

It's on from the 3rd - 6th of Nov. I've had a peek and it's all looking impressive
so far so go and check it out if your in the area. We'll also be projecting a much
longer version of the film in the exhibition.
